DIY for a Cure: A Heartwarming Room Remodel for Kira

In the world of DIY, there are projects that spruce up living spaces, and then there are projects that touch the very core of your heart. Today, we'd like to share a renovation that combines the spirit of DIY with a cause that truly matters.

What is DIY for a Cure?

DIY For A Cure is a movement to bring awareness to pediatric cancer through DIY. The woodworking, maker, and DIY community on Instagram is helping to bring awareness to childhood cancer and raise funds to support further cancer research for children. This happens during September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, specifically during the week of Sept 24 – 30, 2023.

Meet Kira

Kira is a super-sweet, 10-year-old girl from London, Ohio. She is currently wrapping up her cancer treatments. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and making Tik Toks. There is always someone to play with at her house as she is one of seven kids. Meet Kira here!

Wait, there is a raffle?

When you make a donation to the MSK Foundation, you can be entered into many different raffles hosted by DIYFAC creators (like us!). Here is how:
